The short version

  • Priced In is a free game for fun and learning. It is not investment advice.
  • We check every fact against public sources, but mistakes can happen. Tell us and we’ll fix them.
  • Play fair: no bots, no scraping, no attacking the site, and keep nicknames friendly.
  • You must be 13 or older to make an account. You can delete it whenever you like.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Priced In (“Priced In”, “we”, “us”) about your use of playpricedin.com and the Priced In game (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. The game

Priced In is a free daily puzzle about markets, companies and the history of money, made for entertainment and learning. A new puzzle is released every day at midnight US Eastern time. We may add, change, pause or retire puzzles and features at any time, and we may fix or adjust a puzzle or score if we find an error.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation or offer to buy, sell or hold any security, cryptocurrency or other asset. Charts and numbers describe the past and are chosen because they make good puzzles, not because they say anything about the future. Past performance doesn’t predict future results. Before making financial decisions, do your own research and consider talking to a licensed professional.

4. Accuracy of puzzles

We research every chart and number from public sources and show a source after you answer. Even so, published figures are sometimes revised, sources can disagree, and we round numbers and adjust prices (for example, for stock splits) so puzzles are fair. We don’t guarantee that every figure is complete, current or error-free. If you think something is wrong, email hello@playpricedin.com and we’ll look into it.

5. Company names and trademarks

Puzzles mention real companies, products, people, indexes and cryptocurrencies. Their names, tickers and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Priced In isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any company, person or organization that appears in a puzzle.

6. Accounts

  • You don’t need an account to play. If you make one, you must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need your parent’s or guardian’s permission.
  • Use an email address you control, keep your password and recovery code private, and use a password you don’t use anywhere else. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One account per person, please. Don’t create accounts in bulk or for anyone else without their permission.
  • Tell us right away at hello@playpricedin.com if you think someone else has used your account.
  • We never see your password, so if you lose both your password and your recovery code we may not be able to restore access unless we can confirm the account is yours.

7. Fair play

Priced In is more fun when everyone plays the same game. When you use the Service, don’t:

  • use bots, scripts or other automated means to play, submit answers, create accounts or collect content from the Service;
  • copy, scrape, republish or sell our puzzles, answers or data;
  • try to get around scoring, rate limits or security, access data that isn’t yours, or interfere with the Service or other players;
  • upload anything harmful, such as malware;
  • impersonate someone, or use a nickname that is hateful, harassing, sexual, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • use the Service in a way that breaks the law.

Found a security problem? Thank you. Please report it privately to hello@playpricedin.com and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Good-faith research that follows these terms and avoids harming players or data is welcome.

8. Our content

The Priced In name and logo, the game’s design, our puzzles and the way they’re selected and written, our text, graphics and code belong to Priced In or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable permission to use the Service as intended. You’re welcome to share your own score cards and screenshots of your results. Underlying public facts and third-party data remain with their sources.

9. Your nickname

If you add a nickname, you let us store and display it in connection with the Service, for example next to your scores on the leaderboards. You can change or remove it any time. We may change or remove a nickname that breaks these terms.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or delete an account, or block access to the Service, if we reasonably believe someone has broken these terms, is putting the Service or other players at risk, or if the law requires it. We may also decide to stop offering the Service; if we do, we’ll give reasonable notice on the site when we can.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that your scores, streaks or data will never be lost. Some places don’t allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

12. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Priced In won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, including any decision you make based on anything you saw in the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to fifty US dollars (US$50). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

If you misuse the Service or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If anything in these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
